Warranty and Repair

With my move from NZ to Spain (2025), I have become more aware of the true cost and impact of over production and over consumption in the fashion industry. I want to be a part of the solution in my own small way, so effective January 2026, all garments I produce will be covered by a 5-year warranty and repair guarantee.

For context, all "products" or "garments" pertain to the garments produced by my brand only.

A separate warranty and repair email will be sent to you detailing what is covered after purchase. Please do not delete or lose this email because you will have to show this to validate your warranty and repair if you need it. A separate copy of the email will also be saved by Ruscoe.

My Promise

My promise to you is to produce quality products that will last a long time.
My promise to you is to produce products that are ethically made.
My promise to you is to keep living the values of slow fashion to avoid over production and over consumption.

Warranty

Once you buy a product from the Ruscoe brand, it will automatically be covered by a 5-year warranty in case of a fault.
Should the product be deemed faulty, a replacement product will be provided or a free of charge repair will be offered.

Repair

Should your garment need a repair, Ruscoe will complete all repairs free of charge. Please note that repairs are not alterations (size change).
All repairs will be assessed and treated individually.
All fabrics and materials that will be used in the repair will be subject to availability. Please note that I am a small business and I do not order big amounts of fabric and resources.
Customers will be advised of all possible repair solutions. E.g. A hole in the fabric may be resolved with a part replacement or a patch.
If a repair is not the best option for the condition of the damage, the customer can opt to remake the garment in a different fabric. This is considered as the production of a new garment so the customer will be charged for this, as the current price of a similar style garment with a 40% discount.

Recycling and Upcycling

Customers can choose to upcycle the garment and have it remade into something else. There will be labour costs involved in this.
I am also open to recycling and/or upcycling other garments (different brand/made by a different designer). There will be labour costs involved in this.

Donating or Disposing

I will accept returns of Ruscoe garments for donation / disposal.
A discount code to be used on the next purchase of a Ruscoe garment will be provided for any garment returned in good condition.

Shipping

Shipping the garment to and from my workshop will be the customer´s responsibility. Please note that I am a small business and the repair is free of charge
